Fundraising

Team Reed, we need your help and this time it's personal. One of our beloved Reed teachers of 31 years tragically lost his home and belongings in the Eaton Canyon fire. He shares his home and life with a retired teacher from Reed as well. They evacuated with very little as the fire moved incredibly fast and consumed their home. 

 Out of respect for his privacy, he has requested that his name not be shared, but please know that he is so very humbled by the thought that the Reed community would want to step up and help him. 

Since he is staying with family, he’s unable to receive physical items so we have all agreed that the best route forward is to ask for monetary donations, allowing him to purchase things as he needs them and in his own time. 

We know how great our team Reed family is and, especially in times of emotional turmoil and loss, it is so valuable to have such a wonderfully supportive community.

Any donation, big or small, will be so very appreciated and put to great use in helping this teacher rebuild the next chapter with his family. 

To simplify and expedite the process we will be collecting money in the following ways through February 3rd: VENMO PTSA President - @amyecoops or click here - last 4 digits of phone number 6006 (this is Amy Cooper’s account as we have previously used for other Team Reed donations such as teacher appreciation. Using Venmo saves on fees!)  CHECKS can be made payable to 'Friends of Reed' and dropped off in the blue mailbox in the main school office.
